She is determined to build a wonderful life for her family. She would sacrifice her most beloved dreams to see her child succeed. Together with her husband they moved countries; they started their life from scratch on foreign fertile land. “For our daughter”, she says. They left in 2011.
There’s no false pretense in her tone, no complain, no regret. They knew exactly where they wanted to reach and would not hide their shared admiration for the education system and for the healthcare system in Belgium. They provide for the people. She understands the solidarity principle at the foundation of those two systems. People can trust them.
She looks away for a second. She sighs shortly, barely noticeable. She continues her confession on a softer voice: “I miss my family, my parents, my grand-parents, my friends… I do… But I am grateful to have some relatives here who help me…
